Welcome back to the Angels and Awakening podcast. I’m your host and author, Julie Jancis. Friends, today I am reading to you a couple of stories that are in this chapter called Angels of Warmth and Comfort.

It’s from the book by Joan Wester Anderson called Guardian Angels, True Stories of Answered Prayers. Friends, you know, sometimes I read to you from this book, and I just loved the energy of growing up a couple neighborhoods over when we lived in Arlington Heights, Illinois. And I was in high school from Joan Wester Anderson.

And I reached out when I first started my work to meet with her because she was just so into angels and wrote so many stories about angels that I’ve always, always loved. So this one is called Angels of Warmth. Oh, but I never got to meet her.

She, she unfortunately passed away. And sometimes I talk to her on the other side. Sometimes I send prayers to her and her family, just thanking her and deep gratitude for the work that she’s given this world through her lifetime.

But her stories have inspired me over the years, right, to share angel stories, starting back in early February 2019. This one is called Angels of Warmth and Comfort. And she has a quote in here from the movie Angels in the Outfield, the footprints of an angel are love.

And where there is love, miraculous things can happen. 12 year old Nancy Petty now Duran and her family had recently come to the Bronx in New York from their native Italy. The decision to do so was born out of great hope for many times.

Nancy’s father had attempted to start his own business in Italy. And at one point had even left the family temporarily to try the same thing in Germany. Eventually her parents had decided that America offered the best chance of professional success for themselves and their children.

Nancy, her older brother, her younger sisters had been excited about the move, but apprehensive too. What did America look like? Was it similar to the movies they saw?

Would they make friends? Of course there would be challenges as they become accustomed to unfamiliar language and new housing, jobs and schools, but God had guided them through this formidable journey. And Nancy’s parents firmly believed that God would continue to take care of them.

Nancy wish she had the same faith as her mother and father. Yes, she was becoming accustomed to a lot of things in our new country, but no one had warned her about the cold. I get that this time of year at first winter tightened its grip on New York.

Nancy could hardly believe how brutal the cold was, especially inside their apartment. We didn’t have much money, so the top floor unit was all we could afford, she remembered. But the landlord refused to give steam heat and the temperature was so low you could see your breath.

We usually wore coats and blankets during the day and the oven was always on with a pot of boiling water on the stove for steam. Even worse were the Without a dense layer of blankets, it felt as though the apartment had no walls and that they were actually sleeping outside. Oh, why had they risked everything to come here?

Nancy felt abandoned and lost. It was hard to be positive when your fingertips and toes ached and you couldn’t do your homework or even sleep because you shivered so much. One bitter night, Nancy awakened and laid in the dark.

She had curled into a little ball trying to keep warm as possible, but it wasn’t working. She felt numb as if she had turned to ice and the thin blanket slipped off her shoulders. Nancy tried to pull the blanket up to her chin, but her arms were stiff.

They wouldn’t work. Would she freeze to death? Oh, God, I am so cold.

I can’t even pick up my cover, she prayed. Please, please help me, God. Suddenly the room began to glow.

It became brighter and brighter. What was happening? Nancy rubbed her eyes in wonder.

Then right in front of her stood a beautiful angel. Italy was filled with statues of angels. Nancy knew what these beings were, but this angel wasn’t made of plaster.

She was alive. She had shimmers blonde hair. Her eyes were a brilliant blue and she wore a white flowing gown.

Even more extraordinary was the light that radiated from within and all around her. What a beautiful creature. And she was visiting Nancy in this cold drab apartment.

Nancy drank in the sight. Tenderly the angel smiled at her. Then she bent over, gently picked up Nancy’s blanket and pulled it up to the girl’s chin.

Nancy felt a burst of warmth, safety, and love. Instantly the freezing room seemed to be filled with sunshine. Then the angel vanished.

Nancy didn’t know it yet, but the risk her family took in coming to this new land would be rewarded. Not long after that night, her father was able to open a successful Italian restaurant. Nor did Nancy know that despite future winters, she would never again be bothered by the cold.

Oh, I just love that story so much because I have been visited by angels where you see that brilliant, brilliant energy surrounding them. And I have gotten to have the blessing of getting to talk to so many of you and to hear all of your wonderful angel stories. And so many of you have been visited by angels yourselves where you have seen angels come in and physically do something to help you, to support you.

The story continued, but she knew one thing for certain. God was closer than she had ever imagined. And all she needed to do was simply reach out to God.

God’s angels could find her wherever she was. And that’s so, so true. That message has really been coming in.

We can be having all of these feelings going through things in our lives, but unless we’re making space to communicate with God, universe source and ask God universe source for help, which can just happen so easily in your day to day, right? God, I don’t know how you’re going to handle this situation, but I need your help. We’re not really calling in as much God energy, as much God strength, as much God potential as we could.

Now let’s get back to the show. The next story says the cold rain had gone on since morning, keeping Bob Nance from his construction job and increasing his worry over finances. A lost day’s pay was hard to make up.

His family was getting very low on groceries. He paced back and forth in his little house as his wife and mother-in-law fixed dinner in the kitchen and his three children played nearby. What if this deluge continued tomorrow?

Dinner’s ready, Bob’s wife called. Everyone headed for the table. Just then, Bob heard a knock at the front door.

Who could that be out of this storm? He opened the door just a crack to keep the cold air from coming in. On the porch stood a man about 50 years old wearing a black suit, top coat, and a hat.

Water ran down the man’s brim and dripped onto the man’s already saturated coat. His shoes were sodden. How can I help you?

Bob asked. Despite his rumbled appearance, the stranger smiled. The Lord said I should stop by and talk with you.

Bob frowned. Was this man a crackpot? Surely he shouldn’t invite him inside.

And yet, there was something intriguing about him. Bob remembered the story of the innkeeper in Bethlehem so many centuries ago, and he had always wondered if he could have found room for the holy family if the inn had been his. Well, he didn’t have a hotel, but he did have a warm home.

Coming out of this weather, sir, he said, throwing open the door. Let me take your wet things and dry them. The visitor took off his hat, and Bob’s oldest child, Dan, carried it to the kitchen to dry it beside the stove.

Bob reached for the man’s coat. No, I’ll just lay it over the back of this chair, the stranger said. The coat began to drip on the wooden floor.

It looked as if it were soaked completely through. The family made room for their unexpected visitor at the dinner table, and they shared their modest meal with him. Conversation flowed freely and pleasantly, but we didn’t talk of anything specifically religious, Bob recalls, nor did our guest tell us much about himself.

Yet, the little scene seemed right somehow, as if everyone there was sharing in an unspoken bendiction. Bob felt his worries gently lift from his shoulders. He knew that things would get better.

Just as the food had stretched tonight to include the stranger, God would stretch Bob’s meager resources and help him care for his family. Bob was certain of it. As the meal ended, the visitor got up.

Thank you for all this wonderful dinner, he smiled. I have to be moving on now. Young Dan brought back the stranger’s hat, still quite wet, and gave it to him.

Bob picked up the coat lying over the chair and held it as the man slipped it on. The two walked to the door and shook hands, and the visitor departed in the drizzle. Bob closed the door.

Then the realization hit him that the stranger’s coat had been completely dry, but it couldn’t have dried in that short of a time. The floor under it was slippery with puddles. Bob flung open the door, although he had a clear view of the entire street, and the stranger had only seconds to walk away, but no one was there.

Slowly, Bob closed the door. I think we just fed an angel, he told his wife, and even the rain seemed bright. You know, there’s times in our lives where we just don’t know, you know, you don’t know how something’s gonna work out.

Something came up this morning that just, oh, just rocked my heart, hurt my heart so much, and I couldn’t see a way through at all. And I just pray, God, I don’t have the energy to take care of this. I gotta focus my attention on my daughter right now.

I just don’t have the energy, the bandwidth, and so I give this over to you. And there is a peace that descends within your heart when you do allow them to carry things for you that you can’t. You don’t have the energy to carry yourself.

And that’s okay, because we all go through different times, and God is walking right there next to us. Our angels are always surrounding us with this beautiful love. Friends, I wanted to talk to you about something, because one of the things that I’ve noticed in this crazy age that we live in with AI is that this year has been very interesting.

And I’ve just said, God, universe, source, show me the way. God, universe, source, show me what you want me to do. And it’s kind of been a rebuilding year of sorts.

And God has come in and shown me a part that I just love about myself so much. And I’ve had five people this week come up and just say something that touched my heart where they said, Julie, you are just the most authentic person. I always know that sometimes if I’m in the spiritual community, I don’t know what I’m get from everybody.

But I know that when I come to you, you are completely authentic, and you just channel the angels. And I can come to you because I can rely on you for that positive, loving energy. And that just makes me feel so good.

Because that authenticity piece, as I have worked through different professional courses, and with counselors and coaches, they always ask you what your values are, right? Authenticity is my biggest, biggest value. I say this because I love getting to connect with you in Angel Message Mondays, where I send out an email to you once a week on Mondays.

Sometimes I miss if it’s a crazy week, but I’ve done those differently this year where I used to kind of write out maybe the month’s worth ahead of time. I stopped doing that this year. And I’ve just been connecting with you, writing it from myself.

Sometimes I do. I’m not a great speller all the time. I’m not great with punctuation and grammar.

So I’ll run it through AI for that. But it’s all my words, right? And I’m writing out the entire thing and just checking it for grammar and spelling.

But I love just getting to channel something for you once a week. And this week, the Angels did something that they didn’t do before, but I loved it. And I love the conversation that it sparked because the Angels came in and said, in this, ask everybody some questions and ask them to respond.

And you did. So many of you responded. I think there were over 50 responses.

I looked through every single one of them. I did not get to reply to every single one, but I took it all in. I looked and I read every single one.

And I will respond, I promise. But I asked you where you’re having a hard time with your spirituality. And these are the responses.

I just wrote down a couple out of the 50 emails, right? But a lot of you said the same things. You said, I’ve had a hard time staying consistent and connected, that you need help staying connected to God, universe, source to your Angels.

A lot of you said that you feel this mental, emotional, physical exhaustion, that you feel a sense of self-doubt, fear, anxiety, stress, overwhelm. And that because of all that, that you’re having a hard time even feeling connected to yourselves sometimes. Some people said that they don’t know exactly anymore what God wants for their lives.

Some people said having a hard time accessing their intuition or a clarity of their own intuition. A lot of people said that they’re working on healing mind, body, and soul. And again, these are all just like the biggest ones.

If I tallied up what everybody said, these are the biggest ones that you mentioned. A lot of people said that they doubt their own personal power and that they really want to activate their short-term, their long-term potential. They want to be of service, that they believe that they’re a divine creator and they want to create more, but they don’t know exactly what to create or what God wants for their lives.

And a lot of people said, I just want to turn on, I want to trust my intuition. That was another big one. People said that they want a mastery level knowledge of who the Angels are and how to work with them in their own personal lives.

I was interested at this because a lot of people use this word and it kind of shocked me a little bit. They said, I actively distrust. They said, I’m actively distrusting.

I was like, wow, the word distrust, I really haven’t used that word before, but that they’re distrusting their intuition when it comes in and each new step that the intuition shows them to take and that they’re worried about going in the wrong direction. One person wrote, what feels hardest for me is feeling connected and feeling connected is trusting what spirit is telling me. A lot of people said that they want immediate results, constant signs, and consistent validation.

They want the discipline of sticking with their spiritual practice. They want to see God and their Angels vision for really what their life could be. So one thing that you might not know about me is that I’ve been running memberships and communities actually since 2005.

So over 20 years, I’ve seen that shape shift so much over the years, right? And when the Angels called me to create the Angel membership, they asked me to make each new year different for you. They came in so clear that very first year of the membership.

And they said, the community that comes in each year to the membership or whenever they, they enter the membership, what they need is different because you’re an evolving being and what you need in your growth, in your evolution to serve you in this year, this upcoming year is so different from what you needed in the past. What the Angels keep showing me so clearly for 2026 is that you need one hour a week with me. Um, Wednesdays, 7 p.m. central is when we meet for the membership. I’m always live with you. And that is your spiritual practice. Now, if you listen to the podcast episode on Monday, um, it’s so funny.

It was the one line, like I wanted to take out. I asked rain Wilson, um, if he thinks listening to a podcast is a spiritual practice. And I said, no, he said, yes.

And the reason that I said no is because working with tens and tens of thousands of people over the years, what I consistently hear is all of this, you responded with that. You, like I said before, have a hard time staying connected, consistent, um, that you’re not feeling connected to yourself. You don’t know exactly what God wants for your life anymore.

What that vision is for your future, having a hard time accessing your intuition. You’re really actively distrusting, you know, all those things that I read before. When you have that one hour a week to dedicate to your spiritual practice, it shifts everything.

And I know that a lot of times we like retail therapy and I love food therapy, but I’ve just seen the progress that everybody has made coming in and being consistent. If all you do is show up on Wednesday nights, and that’s all the angels want from you in 2026, one hour a week with me, Wednesday nights, that is going to change everything where it turns everything around. I want you to see yourself feeling so, so connected, feeling so consistent, knowing exactly what God’s vision for your life is knowing what you want out of your life.

Feeling like it’s really easy to access your intuition, clearly feeling whole, healed, fulfilled. Feeling like you’re owning your personal power, that you’re confident that you really are stepping into your highest potential, whatever that might be for your personal life. And the other thing that the angels have been saying is that for those who do sign up for the year-long membership, they want them to have some mastery level knowledge of who the angels are, that I’m going to give a certification for at the end of the year that you know all of the angels and who all of the angels are.

And so I know last week I said that I would be done with the website page for the 2026 membership, but the angels, as I was working on it this weekend said, you’re missing one final piece, Julie, and that is the community’s input and your input. And so I threw these questions out in email right on Monday, and I’m going to ask them to everybody here too. A lot of times it’s the biggest angel message that the angels are bringing through in my session that week, but the angels want to know from you. And again, this is your angels asking you, okay, this is not me, but your angels want to know from you.

So I want you to tune in and to ask yourself what feels hardest for you right now when it comes to feeling connected to yourself, your angels, your purpose. If you could ask your angels one question about your life, what would it be? I’m going to put all these questions in the show notes.

So that’s easy for you to get to. What do you most wish would change or heal in your life right now? What do you wish would change or heal most in your life right now?

What keeps you from fully trusting your intuition or believing you’re supported by the universe? And if your angels could help you experience one miracle or one breakthrough over the next 12 months, what would that be? If your angels could help you experience one miracle, one breakthrough over the next year, what would that be?

Okay. And one more question. How would you most like to work with me in 2026 and what’s holding you back right now?

And the other thing that we’re going to be doing in the membership this year is building out different, um, kind of volunteer service groups that, um, you can kind of really get even more deeply connected through that as well. I meet with those groups, uh, once a week. And so, yeah, what are your answers to those questions?

Oh, and that’s the other thing that I keep seeing so clearly is that’s how we’re going to work this in 2026. Every Wednesday evening is going to be so much fun. You’re going to learn about one new angel.

You’re going to try a new exercise, a new tool, right. To, um, connect with that angel in the way that they connect with you. So you’re learning about them in that way.

So after 52 weeks, you have 52 tools and it’s going to be so incredibly fun. I also every single month bring through messages once a month in those group meetings. I have so much fun with like gallery readings and healings.

Um, that actually this last year we had so many members who had taken a year off and they came back because they said, Julie, I miss this being my spiritual practice and getting so centered, so in tune with my intuition on Wednesday evenings. So they came back and we were so excited to have them. All right, friends, that is the episode today.
